The Kageno Nursery School is in the new look with new flowers, painted classrooms and many new books and various learning materials for the library, teachers and pupils. All these new improvements came after the visit of Dr Frank Andolino with a team of Board members and Kageno donors last month.
The teachers, children, parents and the community at large were very happy to receive the books and donated time for planting flowers and painting. Lois Hill bought 1211 books of various types which has brought a big smile to Kageno Kenya. The teachers always find it easy to use the books when teaching and preparing their lessons. Each individual child is able to access the books.
The school also received colored pencils, crayons and pencils to help the children to develop their creativity, eye-hand coordination and fine motor muscles. The school library looks very colouful and attractive to the children that they feel the learning environment is conducive.
The children are always happy to be in the library and are not willing to leave the library room and would not wish to take a day without visiting the library.
Each and every teacher find it easy to use the guidelines and activity books for reference.
